Ghostly Lady in Old Parsonage, Wilmslow, UK: Reports of the ghost were received last Friday. The history behind the haunting are as follows:
In 1745, a woman died of fright when Bonnie Prince Charlie paid a visit to the Old Parsonage at Wilmslow. There is an odd story associated with this visit. A young woman was given a quaint looking fish and asked to keep it in her pond. It grew too large for its tank that she handed over to an elderly woman with a larger pond. It grew larger and larger. It even took a sizeable chunk from several of her hounds. She pleaded with a stranger to take the creature to the village pond. When it was freed, it ate the ducks. Rumours began to erupt to the extent that the elderly woman took refuge in the Old Parsonage. The day Bonnie Prince Charlie visited, she died for fear that she might be held responsible for the missing ducks. Her ghost still haunts the building.Labels: Cheshire, ghost, Old Parsonage, UK, Wilmslow
